Interview
with Daemon
Nibiru
Recently, I had the opportunity to speak with the exiled Taathian Fire Mage Daemon Runemaker, who can often be seen lounging in TSC near the "Spurian Exile" sign, and frying anyone who dares to question his presence. He stands just above five feet tall, and dressed in an unholy black silk toga and some vermillion embossed silver wizard society robes. His glowing bowl of dark ruby fire cast an eerie glow across the room, making his deep blue eyes look cold and sinister in comparison to the flames that licked his fingertips. I chose my words very carefully, as I intended to leave in one (un-charred) piece.... Aradath Tribune: Well, how do you like being exiled? Daemon: I'd say it's a laugh riot. A.T: How do you feel about the people responsible for this? D.R: I'm not sure, I don't really care about them. D.R: Some insignificant fools trying to feel important. A.T: The reason I wanted to interview you, is because I see you in Spur more than any other exile. Has the exile affected you at all? D.R: Other than actually having to kill more people than I ever did before in self-defense, it hasn't affected me. A.T: Self-defense? D.R: Yes, some would-be heroes would like to make a name for themselves, shame they end up dead before they can. A.T: Care to name any names? D.R: Hmm, mainly more foolish folks such as young dragons. Lal, despite our close relationship, wishes me to stay outside the city. A.T: Dracos- figures. D.R: I really do hate blasting them through walls in front of the Secians they drag along with them. A.T: I'd think that would be the entertaining part. A.T: Do you spend more time in Spur or Emjedah? D.R: I spend a good deal of time in Rathan. A.T: What's in Rathan? D.R: Family, friends, and mountain gnomes. D.R: Most importantly the latter. A.T: What do you think of the registration Taathians go through to become residents of Spur? What do you think of those Taathians that have registered? D.R: The registration is absurd, but registered Taathians, if they are true servants of Lord Taath can be beneficial. A.T: How so? D.R: The ways vary infinitely. D.R: But driving Odarians into an insane rage, then killing them in self defense is a rather useful way. A.T: From what I've gathered, there seem to be some factions in Emjedah. A.T: Followers of Kyntavis, and those who think he's a pompous windbag. A.T: What do you think about him? D.R: I can't say, haven't spent much time around him. D.R: If he follows the path he directs others too, then he is a very useful servant to Taath indeed. A.T: Would you support him for the position of Inquisitor? A.T: How do you feel about his murders of other Taathians? D.R: There are some Taathians who are pretenders, if those are all he's killed, then I commend him for it. A.T: Pretenders? Again, care to name any names? D.R: The name 'Sarithiya' flashes across my mind. A.T: Krraskna, as well. A.T: What do you think of her and Changeman's little fiasco? D.R: I think them both fools, and whatever situations their stupendous lack of intelligence has thrust them into, they deserve it. A.T: Plan to make an appearance at the upcoming Rinanni festival? D.R: Of course, it wouldn't be a festival without a few of us charitable folk around. A.T: Charitable, eh? D.R: Yes. A.T: What would you like to see happen with this Taathian situation? A.T: What's your ideal outcome? D.R: Impaling Cynus on a glowing hot iron stake. A.T: That's certainly ambitious. D.R: Oh, that would just be in celebration, the ideal outcome is having a large party with the Rinannians. D.R: After we're unexiled. A.T: 'Have' them for dinner? D.R: Just a few of the more annoying ones. D.R: Some of them I would like to sleep with. D.R: Some of the female Leuian clergy I find quite attractive. A.T: Well, that's all the questions I have, do you care to leave Spur with any thoughts? D.R: Hmm. I'd like to say that for the most part, Spurians have all the intelligence of vegetables. A.T: I agree. A.T: Present company excluded. I don't want to be fried today.
D.R: And I'd like to share my love with all the readers
A.T: That's very sweet. D.R: Don't let anyone tell you I am hard hearted. |
