Interview with Natiana
Greolin

Greetings Spurians and welcome to my world. It is a world that is full of people and I get to interview them. In this latest interview I caught up with the Mother of the largest family in Spur, The Queen of the Insanites.... Natiana Sorque. It was an exciting interview. There was even a riot that broke out during it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did living it.

Greolin says, "OK thanks for joining me Natiana"

Natiana says, "Thank you for inviting me"

Greolin says to Natiana, "First tell me a little about your life before you came to Spur"

Natiana says, "Not much to tell really..."

Natiana says, "I don't remember any real parents..."

Natiana says, "From as far back as I can recall I was a scavenger..."

Natiana says, "Relying on my own instincts and the kindness of others to survive"

Natiana says, "I learned how to fight from those willing to teach me...I ate from those willing to feed me."

Natiana says, "Not very exciting I know."

Greolin asks, "So you basically raised yourself then?"

Natiana says, "In a way, yes...But if it weren't for those kind people who welcomed me in to their homes I wouldn't have lived long..."

Natiana says, "Welcomed me in even though I was a San."

Greolin asks Natiana, "A while back you became known as Queen of the Insanites?"

Greolin asks Natiana, "Where did this title come from?"

Natiana says, "A while back indeed..."

Natiana says, "Rumor the San Elf gave me the title....."

Greolin says, "Oh"

Greolin asks, "Do you remember why?"

Natiana says, "I kept it because it seemed to infuriate the other "true" Sans"

Natiana says, "He might have meant it as an endearment...or an insult..."

Natiana says, "I'm not sure which..."

Greolin says, "During your youth in Spur you made quite an impression on many of those San"

Natiana asks, "Impression?"

Greolin says, "Well didn't want to say you made a lot of Friends"

Greolin says, "With the San I mean"

Natiana says, "I did have San friends though..."

Natiana says, "I either annoyed them...or charmed them. Nothing in between."

Greolin asks Natiana, "Insanites were hunted by many San back then...was it tough for you?"

Natiana says, "There's nothing tough about being hunted..."

Natiana exclaims, "Now running! That's hard!"

Greolin says, "Takes too much energy "

Natiana says, "Dying was and is something I don't like doing..."

Natiana says, "I died often it's true..."

Natiana says, "I never was actually "hunted"

Greolin asks Natiana, "Just a lot of being killed for your view at the moment?"

Natiana says, "I never ran from a fight if it was started because of something I said or did"

Natiana says, "Khain Greyheart, my adoptive Papa..taught me honor..."

Natiana says, "Now, I don't always HAVE honor..."

Natiana says, "But he taught me to take the consequences of my actions"

Greolin asks Natiana, "Khain wasn't a San was he?"

Natiana says, "Hithual"

Natiana says, "That went over well too..."

Natiana says, "If it weren't for him I probably would have died a whole lot more"

Greolin says, "Was just gonna ask if that affected your standing in the Sanene community"

Natiana says, "Some had respect for him.."

Natiana says, "Others just took it as one more reason why I wasn't a "true" San"

Greolin asks, "Some of the San who "hunted" you back then are still living in the city....what are your feelings toward them?"

Greolin asks, "Do you hold any grudges from back then?"

Natiana says, "No."

Natiana says, "I'm not very good at grudges..."

Natiana says, "Especially now that I'm old...I can't remember exactly why I didn't like them in the first place"

Greolin says to Natiana, "Believe me I know what you mean about bein old"

Natiana says, "They were doing what they thought they should do..."

Natiana says, "I was doing what I thought I should do"

Natiana says, "Our actions might be different but our reasons are the same"

Greolin asks Natiana, "Ya think their views of you have changed any over the years?"

Natiana says, "Some have I know for sure...but as to others..."

Natiana says, "San's views change from day to day"

Natiana says, "They like me one hour hate me the next..."

Greolin says, "What about the young San..."

Natiana exclaims, "Ah!"

Natiana says, "Well, there not much different really..."

Greolin says, "Must be a riot because I am not in town Square...my adoring fans ya know"

Natiana says, "Maybe not as Chaotic as I remember San being...."

Natiana says, "The arguments they give me are the same ones from when I first came to Spur..."

Natiana says, "I was hoping for a new challenge really."

Greolin asks, "You mentioned Khain as an adoptive parent, you yourself have adopted children, do you not?"

Natiana says, "Yes I do..."

Greolin says, "Secians if I remember correctly"

Natiana says, "And one Dragon"

Natiana says, "Let me explain..."

Natiana says, "Maharet was the only Secian I actually, personally adopted.."

Natiana says, "She then went out and adopted other Secians as Sisters..."

Natiana exclaims, "You can imagine my surprise when one day, while walking in to TSC I was pounced by 6 Secians, all screaming "Mama!"

Greolin says to Natiana, "I remember some of the letters in the post office...it was quite confusing"

Natiana says, "You should have seen me and Maharet trying to figure out the Family Tree"

Greolin says to Natiana, "You were probably related to half of Spur for a while there"

Natiana exclaims, "Still am!"

Natiana says, "Maharet then adopted, formally, Tygerlili, Dini, Ayslinn, and Adamey as her children"

Greolin says to Natiana, "That would be the half without Fur "

Natiana says, "Well, Tygerlili has fur..."

Natiana says, "And then I adopted Rollie the Dragon as my son."

Natiana says, "This of course does not include, Chosens, husbands, Bondmates, or adoptive kin..."

Greolin says, "Of course"

Natiana says, "I did not set out to adopt Spur..."

There was a brief pause as an evil force prevented Natiana from existing temporarily, or maybe I had too much ale and forgot she was there. In any case, we shortly resumed the interview.

Greolin says, "Thought I lost ya there"

Natiana says, "Sorry about that..."

Natiana asks, "You were asking?"

Greolin says, "I forgot"

Greolin says, "Oh yes"

Greolin says, "We were talking about Maharet"

Natiana asks, "What would you like to know?"

Greolin asks, "Did her adoption bring further persecution from the Sanene Community?"

Natiana says, "Oh yes..."

Natiana says, "From both communities actually..."

Greolin asks, "Both?"

Natiana says, "I wasn't a "true' San because I adopted a Secian....and she wasn't a "good" Secian for having a San mother..."

Greolin says, "I see"

Natiana says, "The Secians didn't make nearly as much fuss as the San did about it though"

Natiana says, "To this day many people from both sides still object..."

Natiana says, "Of course if they really looked at it they see I was just being a San.... Causing enough Chaos to last all these years still.."

Greolin asks, "Some would say you were betraying your Sanene heritage by adopting a Secian, do you feel otherwise?"

Natiana says, "I don't see how that betrays my heritage....I don't even know what my heritage is."

Natiana says, "I do things when and if they please me..."

Natiana says, "Or if I feel they need doing..."

Natiana says, "I cause Chaos....and not in the very boring and predictable way most San do, killing and evil and all that.."

Natiana says, "I find more...imagined ways of doing it.."

Greolin says to Natiana, "Predictability makes it that much less chaotic"

Natiana says to Greolin, "Exactly."

Natiana says, "No one can ever really predict what I'll do next."

Natiana says, "That's the fun part."

Greolin asks Natiana, "Most San generally have a distaste for Fir elves, how do you feel about them?"

Natiana says, "One Fir is my closet and dearest friend...and his children are my adoptive niece and nephews."

Natiana says, "I don't dislike anyone based solely on their race."

Natiana says, "I happen to be friends with some Firs...as well as others from all the races"

Natiana says, "I do have mood swings though..."

Greolin says, "Do tell"

Natiana says, "Every once in a while...I'll get the need to kill something..."

Greolin asks, "Or someone?"

Natiana says, "Usually that something is someone who's been annoying me past all patience.."

Natiana says, "And I'll get a mood swing and start killing people..."

Greolin says to Natiana, "Worst my mood does is swings by the Rose Eternal for a drink"

Natiana says, "It doesn't happen all the time..."

Natiana says, "I'll just snap."

Greolin says, "Wouldn't be a swing if it happened all the time ..."

Greolin says, "Least I don't think it would"

Natiana says, "That...or I'll start flirting with people who don't want me to flirt with them"

Natiana says, "Works better than fighting most of the time."

Greolin says to Natiana, "Bah I do that all the time"

Greolin says, "One last question"

Greolin asks, "Ya gonna buy the interview guy a drink?"

Well, there ya have it Folks. Is she Betraying her San heritage? Or is she really more Chaotic than most people give her credit for? Did she buy me a drink? If so will she buy me another? All this and more I leave for you, the reader, to decide!!
